Windows 7 wireless adapter problem

Have a Dell Dimension E521 (64 bit) desktop loaded with Windows 7 Client-Business. Desktop previously had an Airlink 101 802.11g USB wireless adapter working with Windows Vista. Unable to reinstall this adapter. This desktop is some distance away from the router and is using a Hawking extender.

Is there a USB wireless extender available that will work with Windows 7? Many USB wireless adapters claim to work with Windows XP and Vista, but haven't found any so far compatible with Windows 7.

Should have posted this on wireless networking, but have found an answer now. Windows 7 has a compatibility page for USB wirelss adapters.
