View Full Version : fff*,tmp files & Script debugging.

I recently found a lot of zero length fff*.tmp files in my C:\Windows folder. I thought that I could prevent these files from being created by disabling Script Debugging (Control Panel, Internet Options, Advanced Tab).

When I checked, Script Debugging was disabled. It is possible that these files existed at the time I disabled script debugging. I thought I deleted them, but I think I remember deleting twice as many as I currently have.

Is there something else that creates these files?

What is Script Debugging? Do I need it for anything?

No, you don't really need script debugging.

Those FFF files can be created by Internet Explorer so you will proably still get some after you have disabled script debugging. Here's a link to a Usenet posting covering the same subject.
