Okay, I've had my ps3 for a few years now, 80gb fat ps3 model (newer, doesn't play ps2) and I've been running it on HDMI thru my 32 inch phillips television most of the time of ownership. Recently my younger brother turned it on and complained about not getting anything to show up on the television, but I was busy on bad company 2 owning stuffz :P so I told him to wait for me to finish out a really good round. Well, he didn't do as I told and started screwing with every button and cord on the ps3 he possible could and when i got to it and yelled at him for messing with things I discovered what i predicted; He had it on the wrong HDMI output channel (total of 4 HDMI connections on said television) but to my dismay when I turned it to the appropriate channel he had already done the damage. I can no long, through no means of troubleshooting, get any HD output from my ps3 on my television. I am unsure as to what he did to it, but I had to switch back to the 3 prong connection (w/e it's called, red/white/yellow connectors) after the "Hold power button till it beeps" failed to reset the output. I tried to factory reset the ps3, manually set the out put to HDMI thru the XMB, everything at my disposle, but I cannot get HDMI output through my television. Now I'm specifying my television because for some reason my PS3 will play HDMI thru my computer monitor without a hitch, no resets or anything, it just picks up the connection and goes. Now i'd much rather play on my much larger television but the red/white/yellow connection style is so blocky, ugly and unclear it makes my eyes bleed as I'm so used to 1080p, not to mention it throws my rock band play off hard core. Is there any one out there with a clue as to what he could have done and/or a fix to the issue? Mind you I have tried the basic "power button reset", a factory reset, and setting the HDMI output manually.
