I have an old 200 MMX with Win98 and Office 97. I had a problem with Win98 and reinstalled it only to find out that I not have two different versions on my PC. How do I uninstall ALL of Win98 and reinstall is nice and clean?
Thanks, really appreciate you guys,

Tobias

Sorry, I'm not understanding the question. You might want to try it again,
or maybe somebody esle can understand it, I can't. Sorry.

Ok, are you saying you thought you had two Operating systems on your computer and uninstalled one of them and come to find out, Office 97 was
not an Operating system. Now you want to reinstall Windows 98? Am I confused or what.

If there are no files on the disk you need or want to keep you can reformat the drive and start with a clean slate......that wipes out all the data currently on the drive. So post back with what you want to do.

Okay, let me try this again. Windows 98 has more than one version and when I ran into a problem, I reloaded the operating system (Borrowed CD) hoping to fix a file problem only to find out later that it's different from my original, now I have two different versions of W98 on my PC. Here's how I can tell: I now have Disk Cleaner and Diskcl~ under System Tools.
How do I remove the Operating System and reinstall it?
Sorry if the first time was not clear. I know Office 97 is not an OS.

I think what you are saying is that you had a problem with w98. so you reinstalled it (over the top) to try to correct the problem (missing/corrupt files etc.) only to find out that the version that you used was not the original, & now you have BOTH versions on your machine.

If this is correct: back up your data, do a format, & reinstall.
