I would say this is a software issue, wang, specifically the game itself. You'll need to check out any instructions the game has for multiplayer configurations and take a look at their support site for info regarding porting the game. Most games allow you to specify an address, so your friend should be able to enter your primary system's address to play head/head-no different than if he did it over the net. Different games have different protocol methods, so i'd go the game's forum site and see if someone familiar with the game you're playing has raised this issue. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif

Sorry couldn't help you more.

One thing that is important to check is your network protocols. Right click on network neighborhood, goto properties. You should have at least these (plus the game may have a readme file asking for something else) IPX/SPX, TCP/IP, PCI adapter for your network card. Also make sure your primary logons are the same. If that doesn't work I'd uninstall and reinstall your network cards and see if there's any new or different driver to use.
