Is it possuble to convert a DVD video in a JPEG or AVI file?

Yes, it is-and you can also convert them to mpg files.

Hope you have a fast PC...you're looking at mucho computer time...

A few recommendations, if you don't mind:

1) Use mpeg2avi instead of flask (faster, more reliable)
2) Use the old DivX codec (3.11) and fast motion instead of slow
3) Don't encode higher than 1200 or 1300 (will start to skip frames on anything but a blazing system)
4) Use smartripper
5) Unless you have to (no storage space left) don't delete the vobs until you're sure the rip is done correctly...
