HP laptop parts help!

Hp laptop dv5-1100 series, I am looking for the flat cables that are under the switch cover plate. I have been searching the web all day to no avail. I am trying to buy a kit if they are being sold that way. The flat cables are for part numb. 488316-001. apparently I would have to buy the whole part just to get the cables that comes with it. I am trying to avoid that, it anyone can help, it will be greatly appreciated. :confused:

Unfortunately...buying the whole part is what it looks like you'll need to do. I ran, probably, the exact same searches you did and came up with the same results. Unless you can find a dead one on ebay cheaper than the whole part...

Thanks mjc, perhaps I take a stab at that (ebay) see what gives. I am the one who screwed up. When putting back the little screws in the battery well, apparently the ribbon cable for the LED lights on the panel was in the way and the screw when right through it. The laptop works fine but I rather have that fix or I wont hear the last of it from my sister. LOL
