I knew there was a reason I couldnt seem to bring myself to open up the XP box sitting on my desk and "Give XP a spin around the block" http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Will XP save Me ?
I think that once MS has found something it likes they won't give it up...I believe that you are running afoul of some kind of systems file protection scheme...protect you from yourself, that way if the OS screws up it can't your fault, it must the OS's fault!

I had nothing but problems with XP and Zone Alarm...it almost seems like XP is designed to run only with other M$ apps...
(of course that is something M$ would NEVER do http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif )
I realize that since it's new, not all compatibility issues will have been worked out, but XP was extremely buggy when I was using it, and I finally decided it just wasn't worth the headaches...
It tries to do EVERYTHING for you and like I've said before, it's so idiot-proof that it's actually hard to use...
