Forgive my ignorance..I've had no trouble installing a previous Detonator (6.50) driver, but that was a normal .inf file.
When I open this one (12.41-w9x.exe), an error message says that "it is not a valid Win32 application".
Am I right in thinking that if I change the *.inf to *.exe when searching for the updated driver (have Disk), that that will do the trick?
I am running Windows 98se, on an AMD 1.2 ghz, Ali Magic 1, Leadtek GeForce 2 pro.

Many thanks for any help, folks.

Go here, Guru3d (http://www.guru3d.com) download a program called Detonator destoryer. Go into your add/remove programs applet; remove whatever current drivers you are using, DO NOT restart yet-open the det destroyer program and click uninstall; it will remove all the .ini and ..inf files nivida has left from previous drivers. Now choose restart.

When you have rebooted choose to install Standard VGA driver, reboot again. When you have set that up, go into your display properties and choose " change adapter" now point it towards the folder where you downloaded and unzipped the newest drivers. ( obviously you'll want to have done this step before you began the uninstallation http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif ) Then just reboot to set windows configuration files, and set her up as you want ( resolution etc.. )

Hope this helps you a little.
