Hey guys --
I'm trying to install Windows 98 se on another computer and I can install it and everything, but in order for the installation to complete, I need the CD key or something like that and I dont have that. I have installed the same OS on my comp and I'm wondering if there's a way I can find out what I typed into MY comp when I installed it on my system??

your CD key can be found on the cover of the booklet that came along with it, or on the back (usually) of the computer that you purchased that the CD came with.
many also give you the key when you open System Properties.
(press Alt + Pause|Break button)

It's not on the cover of the booklet or on the back or anything. I've already checked every possible place. What my question was in the first place was how can I find out what the Product Key was on my computer.

15901-OEM-0094465-57046. That's the closest thing that looks like it could be the product key (under sys props).

Caution !!! You gonna have to make a trip to the registry to find this one out, so be careful in there cause it's so easy to mess things up by playing with the registry. Ok
Go to start - Run - Registry
Here's the path: Hkey_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion
Bingo !!! there's the ProductKey along with the productID you mentionned earlier.
