Hi here is my error message
"The system could not log you on. Make sure your User name and domain
are correct, then type your password again. Letters in passwords must be typed using the correct cases "
I know my admin username and password but I get no response from pute.
Is there an easy fix to go back to welcome screen with just the option of picking user, other than re-installing?

This is what stood out for me...

Make sure your User name and domain are correct

Am I right in assuming your PC does not, in fact, belong to a domain? If so, it's possible either you or someone else has changed this inadvertently, and that's why the PC is looking for non-existent credentials from a non-existent domain.

Sam,

Just as an addendum to my previous message: If I'm recalling correctly from memory, you should have the choice of either logging into a domain or the workstation account, using a drop-down box on the login screen. Try choosing the workstation, if it's available, and then entering your normal name and password.
