I have a case that had a Cyrix MII in it. I am now installing a new motherboard and an AMD-K6-2. However, I am not sure what form factor Power Supply I have. It appears to be a LPX Power Supply. There is nothing in the motherboard booklet about settings for this power supply. Do I set it as an AT, or ATX or neither?

Hello Kenfused,
and Welcome to the forum. Could you discribe this LPX connector. I am a little out on the older stuff but getting better every day with the new.
An AT plug is either a single long plug with a single row of pins or 2 seperate single row plugs. ATX is a single plug with 2 rows.
As for using old cases for newer parts, all I can say is DON'T. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif It deffinately becomes more of a hassle than its worth.Old power supplies are typicly under rated for newer stuff and probably won't hold up to long.
Check Pricewatch (http://pricewatch.com) for case prices. Or tell me to shut up cause you really want this old case http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
Good luck
