Hellooo,
I have skype with ubuntu 10.04.When I select options or click on any control buttons skype shuts down.I can make calls ok tho.Strange.
I have uninstalled skype and removed all instances of it in synaptic.
When trying to reinstall I get the error messages below.
What is going on here and how can I fix it?

It looks as if the file download failed for whatever reason.

Add this to your sources.list file:

deb http://download.skype.com/linux/repos/debian/ stable non-free

Then type sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install skype

You can also drill down to the tmp directory in File Manager and manually delete the .deb file so it doesn't try to read the old one.
