What can one do, when windows keep downloading the same security update (kb2446704). This has been going on for about three days now. When I check contron panel, add or remove program, updates I don't see that particular update. What is going on with this? I don't know to stop it from doing this aside from turning off updates.
Thanks

I would advise you to look at this Microsoft article (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2446704).

I think it might be best just to download and implement this update manually, and the article explains how.

Thanks LochLomonder, I will look further into this. Thanks for the link. I still feel something is not right.

You're welcome. Just one thought: Do you use a Standard User account or an Administrative account for your PC? I have seen it happen whereby certain updates need to be installed using an Administrative account, so this may be an issue here.

However, that's purely speculation on my part, so please let me know how you get on with the other route.

I do use adminstrative account. I did all the updates and also set my timmer for updates to one specific day of the week instead everyday.

I do use adminstrative account.

Okay...strike that option! heh

Just let me know how you get on with following that article, and hopefully this will provide a proper solution to this issue.
