Howdy

I believe your Motherboard specs will determine how much ram you can use

Hello Sheba and welcome,
If you have your Motherboard book or CD, that should have the info you are looking for. If not and you know the mobo manufacturer and model, you can check their site for specs.
If you don't have this info then you will need to check the BIOS ID string, post that back, and there are some great people here who can help from there.
To find the ID string, during startup, watch for the RAM count to start, hit the "Pause" button, and look for a long sting of text. Write that down.
Of course, I could take a wild guess here and say "With 128Mgb, if it is one stick, I would say that is the largest single size you can use, so, one in each available slot would be max." Example= 3 slots total,128 per slot, 384Mgb total RAM. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif

To really know for sure you are going to have to dig up the manufacturer of your motherboard and find the manual for it...if it isn't marked somewhere on it who made it then you need to grab the BIOS id string (a long sries of numbers that is either at the top or bottom of the screen whe you first turn on your machine)

It's generally thought that 128MB is the useful maximum for Windows 95, 98 and ME.
But hold your horses - no doubt the Master Geeks will correct me. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

AGP but don't bother with a GeForce3 or some other card that supports 4x AGP, your board probably only does 1x, 2x if you are very lucky...most cards can be set for the lower speed but why spend the extra $$ when you won't be using that feature.
