cookies / log on

hi,
I was looking at my cookies. and my full name is showing. ex: "name@www.doinh..."
It is also the name I log on with. I believe there is a conection.
How can I change this?

Hi Brian G,

Here's my take on it.

When you first got your computer, during set up, you put your name as registered user. If you had put somethin' like "valued customer" or "default" that's what would show up in your cookies. If I'm off base with this, please...anyone...let us know.

I guess you have to get back to that start-up screen.

I'm sure one of these guys knows how to do it.

Also, I heard on Tech TV that the id is only shown on your machine. Not over the internet. Take it for what you will.

I'm not quite sure what you want to change. If you want to change your registered user name, there is a prog that will do it for you.

If that is what you want post back & I will dig out the info.
