please help me!

I recently purchased an old 486/33 and I am trying to install a cdrom(mitsumi). I have tried everything I can think of but win95 just doesn't see it. I have looked in the bios but can't recognize anything that might be wrong. I have installed the proper drivers, but still nothing.

Then I tried setting up a zipdrive by using guest.exe, but that didnt work because it would'nt add a drive letter. In my config sys the last drive letter is M. I dont know what to do. Please help!!!!!!

Thanks

Hello psychoward and welcome.
A little more info about the install and your system will help. Is this CD Rom on the same ribbon as another device? Do you have the jumpers set correctly? Does the ribbon connect to the mobo or a controler card? Is the CD Rom known to be good? What else is in this machine? What have you tried so far?
With this info I am sure we can get you up and running http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/cool.gif

The cdrom is connected to the motherboard right above the harddrive since this is the only place I could find to connect it. I am trying to get the cdrom controller to install but it keeps telling me I need drivers.

mtmminip.mpd
mtmide01
mscd001

I am going to look for these now.

Thanks for you reply any info is appreciated.
