I just bought a new PCI 3D card. While i was installing the card into the PCI slot, and then turn the computer on, nothing showed on the screnn. I took 4 hours trying to fix it, but it didnt work. So then some told me i had to disable the video card that is connected to the motherboard, for the card to work. So how do you disble the video card connected to the motherboard?

In Most cases with a plug and play mother board the on board video will be disabled when you install and connect the new video card and monitor.
If this doesn’t work then you need to disable the on board video card using the Bios setup or in a few instances using jumpers on the mother board.

More info is needed to give a step by overview of the process.
System name model, mother board maker and model.

additionally you could try booting with original configuration vid card, (so that you have a display)- then press windows key and Pause/Break at the same time- (to open device manager)-, click on the + sign beside ' sound, video, and game controllers >> then find your vidcard>>highlight it>> click properties>> then in the General TAB, click (Put a check mark) in "disable this device".

apply changes, click OK,>>

then shut down, insert the new vid card, and let us know.
