Hi,I'm just getting started in the wonderful world of computers, and to my great amazement,I actually installed another HD,everything seems to work,so I'm happy. My question is that I want to install W98SE on the other drive also,in case the first drive fails. Is this possible ? Thanks

Two windows application can be loaded very easily. just do it. & use it. Do you change boot sequence at startup or any other mathod. You can even have unix.

Hello mkantrim and bally_m, welcome to PC Guide.
Yes you can install your OS on both HDDs and use the second one as a backup but, there is a little bit more to it then that.
You will want to use a third party software such as "Norton Ghost" to make an image of your first HDD with your other programs included.
If your primary drive fails (hardware damage) or (software corruption/virus) and you are not able to repair with normal tools, you will want to replace it anyway.
More info on your intentions might help us guide you better on this.
Good luck

BALLY,
Please keep same questions to one thread. It prevents confusion and overlaping responses.
Check your other post on this.
