I have been running a Supermicro dual 450mhz xeon system for about 3wks. now and now it will intermittently not "post" or has a fatal error only when the bios tries to enable the L2 processor cache.I have tried a different power supply and have run each processor one at a time with the same results.If I turn the computer off and on about 2to3 times the computer finally boots to the operating system after it has enabled the L2 cache or caches.I have an idea that the memory refresh circuitry or cache enable circuit on the motherboard is faulty.Supermicro will repair the board but is my thinking right?
