Hi guys, this is my first time in here and I hope someone is able to help me with an issue that I have.
I have a Compaq Presario 7480 computer with 64 MB of RAM but the system properties reports 56MB RAM.
Would appreciate any help on how to fix this so that the correct amount of RAM is reported.
Thank you

. It sounds as if you need more random access memory, or RAM, or your available free disk space is low. You should keep at least 10 percent of your hard drive free. You may want to defragment the drive (double-click My Computer, right-click the C drive, choose Properties, Tools, Defragment). If nothing changes, then most likely it is a shortage of RAM. For Windows 95, 32 megabytes of RAM is considered bare-bones, 64MB is adequate and 128MB is highly recommended.
The above will give you an Idea of what to try first,But you really need to post some system specs/Windows and such. that way we can better diagnose the problem.ANd welcome to PC GUIDE http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
