Does anyone know how can someone erase the list of keywords that generally appears automatically in, for example, the Search window of Altavista, Yahoo or any other web page? In other words: if I go in Altavista and type in the Search window “toys” a list of words beginning with a “t” or “to” and then “toy” appears. How can I disable this function? cleaning chace or hystory or running Norton CleanSweep did not work. Any clue?
Thank you

The AutoComplete feature can be disabled in IE 5 by going to Tools, Internet Options, Content. Here is the "full story" from Microsoft (http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q217/1/48.ASP).

You should be able to bring up a complete list by double clicking on a blank box...then you can put the cursor on one and thenhit the delete key...or you can download a program called AutoWhat? (http://www.topqualityfreeware.com/shella.shtml) 9it can be found at this link or you can do a search for it...)
