As per title, been looking, but cannot find the search.

You used to be able to right-click any folder in XP, and select Search...

...to look for a file.

Obviously, in Win7, it has moved somewhere else, but I would love any pointers you could give me. ;)

Don't have 7 handy, but first there is a search box in the start menu. Just start typing and it searches as you go.

In vista, I am assuming it is the same in 7 but I could be wrong, there is a search bar at top right next to the address bar in every explorer window. Again it searches as you type.

Also one can press Ctrl + S and search comes up in Win 7.

Hi. Yeah, like that search bar in the start menu. :)

[CTRL] + [S] brings up a SAVE-AS window...

You can highlight the drive (such as C) in Windows Explorer, then use the upper right search in Explorer.
