PCImodem and IRQ 9

How do I... change the IRQ address of my PCI modem to IRQ 2. I'm unable to send messages to an external server because the program I must use to send those messages only recognises modems configurated with IRQ 1 through 5. I know this is the vendor's problem but I'm curious if there is a way to make this work. Compaq EX, E-tech modem (HCF),

Try putting the modem in a different slot, and no you don want ot use irq 2,(just because its too technical) but you want to get it on the 3,4,5, irqs so shoot for that.you cant change irqs manually because of plug and pray so dont try to change it just try different slots until you get it on the desired configuration.
