my cd drive cannot read certain type of cd rom especially the one with DVD version. For this time, the cd drive only can read the MP3 and song cd rom. It can't open the VCD too. Until my CD cleaner also it can't read. I don't think the cd drive problem coz i already move to other cd drive.Still cannot read the cd rom and please don't say that the cd also problem. I guess there was an error on my system program. Please somebody help me. One more think, the dialog box said "Can't read the Driver or The Driver has been used by other program".

Hi ther aeillaz
Do you have packet writting software installed? (software that lets you use a CD-RW disk just like a floppy) as this can sometimes interfear with the cd-drive as it sometimes claims seiority over all other cd drive drivers\software. Someone else will more than likely post a clearer explanation.

A bit more specific information would help. Is this a combination drive, CD/DVD, or just a CD ROM? Or a CD writer?
If it's a standard CD ROM, it will never read DVD, you need a DVD drive for that. If that's the case, it will only read data, programs and music CD's, either commercial audio or MP3. Same for CD writer, it wouldn't read DVD disks either.
