Need other category again..site problems?

Don't know if this is the right place to post, but I am having increasing problems posting at all. Tried twice to post on this thread (http://www.pcguide.com/ubb/Forum9/HTML/001296.html). When I came here to post this question, it says I did post, but the post itself is not there. Instead of the "internal server error" that has become sort of common, on that thread I get the "can't go there" message and Refresh just brings up an empty screen with Done at the bottom.

Is it me? I do use 98 and IE 5 and I rarely bother to upgrade/update anything other than AV, but I have seen a lot of double posts recently and assume they're not all using old stuff. Any ideas on whether I can "fix" this problem?

I'm also getting a little slow response from the site.
But I am able to load the page you linked above.
I have also seen this happen on other pages.
I was able to see it using Refresh in a few cases .
I have also had to go back to the forum list and reload each section to view a couple of pages.
I think it’s the Bot’s again causing the system to slow down and not your software.

IE5 and win98

Thanks, Rick, for quick response and reassurance that I am not the only one still using 98 and IE 5! Especially nice coming from you since you're my graphics guru.

I had no problem seeing the original thread (above), I just don't know if my reply got there or not. I can't see it, and I have tried coming at it from all different directions..and Refresh and whatever. I went and found a previous thread that might be helpful to Beno Here (http://www.pcguide.com/ubb/Forum2/HTML/001823.html), and so wanted to make sure he got it. Think I will give up for awhile and go get some work done. Thanks again.
