Hi Every1,

I have this problem that when I press "shutdown" from the start menu on my Win98SE machine then it wants to start up again!!! Weird huh!!

Do u think I have got a virus?!?? What could it be

Does anyone know what I should do??

Also one other question for any Java Programmers out there........

Why is that when we declare a reference to a string, we never actually create an object for it by using the "new" operator???? Because there are constructors for strings in the String class Java provides.

If no one knows the answer to this question then could someone point me in the right direction where another discussion board like this is set up but for software developers instead.

Cheers

Beno

Hi Beno,

Sorry I can't help with the Java question, I only know a little VB.

Do you have Fast Shutdown enabled, if so disable it.

Start/Run type msconfig, click ok. On the General tab, click Advanced and select the Disable Fast Shutdown box.
You could also try starting up and shuting down in safe mode to see if it will do it without re-starting.
