Hi Guys,

I've recently been given a Dell Dimension XPS D333 with the hard drive missing and the DVD player missing. I connected up a fujitsu hdd 4Gig, and turned it on.The BIOS screen came up ok but it did not recognised the hdd automaticaly, so I put the size and everything in manually but the puter still won't boot. The hdd I'm using is the from my puter and it has an OS installed on it. ive checked the IDE connection and jumper settings. All I get is OS not found. What am I doing wrong?
It won't boot with a boot disk either. Also as fas as I know the puter was working fine untill said components were removed. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

If there is a a choice for the set autodetect for the drive use it, also make sure that the IDE controller is on (both) and that the floppy is first in the boot sequence...
