Favoutites List Sorting

I wish to sort my Favourites List into alphabetical order but am finding difficulty doing so.
I have Win. Me and IE6 installed.

It's done through the Start Menu/favorites/right click/sort by

Thanks for the suggestion but when I select Start no "Favourites" appears on the list.

RIGHT go to the top of your screen where it says favorites on the tool bar.

I have managed to get "favourites" listed on the start menu but when I right click it the only options I have is "explore" & "open".
Any furthjer suggestions ?

ok here we go say you have pc guide in the favorites left click the mouse and hold it will highlite and it will look like a ghost image just drag it to where you want it up or down. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif

I know I can position the folders manually myself by dragging but I was under the impression that one could get favourites to list alphabetically by using a "sort by" instruction. I have too many folders in the list to do it manually - it would take all day !!

Yeoman I operate Win98se and to sort the Icons\folders out I would Right click on desk top and chose from the selected choices there. Don't know if the facillity is in ME or whether it will work in Favs folder. But I would think it will. Have a look and give it a try

Well I really like the other thread!LOL if you read it all it's like watching a comedy show, I got it now my self yes you can arrange them in to folders and arrange the folders in alphabetical order, but what is in them folders you are still going to manually put those in alphabetical order.Now I'm on the verg of being confused I'm outa here. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Success at last with my problem regarding getting Favourites into alphabetical order - thanks to you guys. I checked out the previous thread of last year and the answer is :- Select START/FAVOURITES and then right-click on any entry and then "SORT BY NAME". It actually works which has stopped me tearing my hair out !

Yoda, if you follow that procedure one more step and open each folder you can continue by clicking on one in that folder....
