Dos Dir

I was trying to check the directory of a software program I have downloaded
and I am getting an "access denied" message.
Have they programmed in some sort of block to prevent me from seeing what
is in there, or am I not entering the right command?

How are you entering the command?
“DIR” with no other options will give you the list for the directory you are in when you use the command.

I hope you are also talking about getting the list after the program is installed.
