I see that most of your users do not use their actual names displayed with each message. How can I do the same instead of my actual name.

I would be lost without this forum, and would like to comply with the accepted etiquette.

Hello Ray,
That would be done during the registration on this site. You would have to use a different "User Name when you register then your real name.
You do need to put in your real name in the appropreate boxes though.

Also once your user name is registered it can't be changed. You would have to create another account, and register another user name. All the rest of the info can be changed, email address, signature etc, but not the user name.

Using aliases is not a matter of "accepted ettiquette" it's more related to the common practice on the Internet of not revealing ones actual identity for privacy/security purposes. As long as your actual address and phone number are not also posted, http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/eek.gif it shouldn't be a major issue.
