Hey hiredgoonz, I saw in one post that you said you had liquid nitrogen cooling your cpu(i think it was you). But anyway whats your specs on your machine, or is it watercooled? If you have a picture , that would be good too. How much did you pay for it too? Also just give me a overview on the watercooling , not technical or nothing just what do you think about it? See ya

I don't have liquid Nitrogen cooling (I don't remember saying I did, but I may have been making a joke) although I wish I did http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

Water cooling works pretty much like the cooling system in a car...your heatsink is actually a waterblock (like your engine block), usually copper, with channels through it for water to pass through...

It is connected, via hoses, to a water pump and a heat exchanger (radiator), fans are set up to blow on the radiator and the pump keeps the water flowing through the whole setup...

This provides great heat removal from your cpu and can actually be done fairly inexpensively...

For a great article on it, go to:
http://www.tomshardware.com/cpu/01q2/010528/index.html

As far as my views on it go, I predict at some point I will set up a water cooled system because I like to tinker, but I haven't had the time yet...

Yeah, I was just poking fun at the whole thing...people are funny about modifying things, be it cars or computers...

People will go to extraordinary lengths to accomplish something simply to show off...

As far as liquid Nitrogen cooling goes...that would be ridiculously expensive to maintain, even Crays don't use something that exotic, although they are liquid cooled...
