Using nero with writer

Hi all I am wondering if anybody knows I have a Yamaha Writer 8x4x24
and I am wanting to use nero 5 but it seems that nero 5 don't work properly with this writer I was told I could download a different firmware program to undate the bios on the writer but I an unsure about this any help would be greatful.

Heres a link, that has the nero updates. Scroll down the page and you should find it. Youll probably want the latest version. check the link that says history under nero and you should find your yahama, should be listed somwhere. http://www.cdmediaworld.com/hardware/cdrom/cd_cd-writer_software_updates.shtml

If you want to update the firmware go to yahamas site, if it does not list compatible with nero 5, i would not update it.

Mark - If you go to Nero's home page - http://www.ahead.de/en/download.htm - and scroll down to near the bottom you will find a link to a database that gives all compatable drives. There is also a file that will test your drive for compatabillty if it is not listed.
