Hello,
In my friend's office they purchage new computer (it is governmentoffice).I go to see it, it was lebled pentium 3 but I test it with CPU tester utility, it saw me result that Cpu installed is "pentium pro".Due to waranty period I cant open the system,so I cant do physical inspection. Is there any other test which tell me about Cpu's version.is it possible that utility identify the cpu wrongly? or there is wrong CPU in sytem Can I identify it without openning the system?

What speed is the cpu running at? If it's 450mhz or greater, then it isn't a pentium pro...if it's less than 450, it isn't a Pentium 3...

There are certain BIOS/test programs that report all Pentium class CPUs from Intel over a certain speed as Pentium Pros...try another diagnostics program.
