I'm sorry that you haven't had an answer yet. Unfortunately, you used the magic word "mac", so you're limited to getting help from a small percentage of the population... and half of those are the kind of people that are not interested in the inner workings of things, and that's precisely why they bought a computer that "just works" :-\
