Hello,
I added a hard disk (Western Digital) to my 5 year old PC (a siemens nixdrof)
Since I had Windows95 and my motherbord(?) didn't support 8G volume, I downloaded support software from Western Digital site.
Then I installed the hard disk without any problem.
Now I assembling a second PC and I want to take it off the second hard disk from the first PC to use in the new one.
My first pc does not boot. My second pc does not recognise the hard disk.
If some one can help me out this problem.
Danish
Ps: Sorry for my poor english

You need to run the same software you used during the install on the first PC to Remove the Western digital update.

After you remove that software from PC one.
You may find that you will need to use it again on the second PC .
Assuming it also doesn’t support 8 gig drive.

Before running the software on the second PC
Ensure that the drive jumper is set to Master and
If it is set to master and your bios recognizes it at it’s full capacity
You will need to run Fdisk and set it as the Active partition
This will avoid having to run the software on the second PC.

If your bios on PC 2 doesn’t support the new drive then you should run the WD software on the second PC

Do I have to flash the bios

The software you installed from Western Digital should have created a boot disk ( Floppy)
You need to use that disk to start the computer and remove the software.

You may also find that you need to reinstall the second drive back into pc1
