Someone has e-mailed me a Lotus wordpro document which includes a .bmp image. I would like to view the whole document, but would especailly like to see the image. Unfortunately, I do not have wordpro, only word. Is there any utility which will convert the file so I can view it in word, with the image, or alternately is there any way to extract the image to view on its own?
Thanks
Dan
I couldn't actually find a converter... http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif , but here is some info from MS
How to Convert Between Lotus Word Pro 96 and Word (http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q200/4/64.asp)...looks like you may need to have them resend it or maybe you'll have better luck here (http://www.google.com/search?client=lgtech-ms&q=converting+wordpro+to+ms+word)

MJC-Thanks for the reply. I did a little searching & couldn't find anything either. Closestthing I could come up with was a browser plugin called Fastview Plus, which (and I quote) "supports all the popular multimedia, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation formats
such as Micrsoft Word, Excel, or PowerPoint, Corel, Lotus, WordPerfect, and many more." Sadly, it is not shareware... http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif

When you set up MS Office \ Works I think you have the choice of adding these filters http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif . Re-run your word setup and do a CUSTOM install
