Hey Guys,
I have put together a few desktop pc's.Just get an ATX MB and whack it in a case and away you go usually.
Question is: "Are laptops brand specific?i That is, does an ASUS laptop require an asus MB,Toshiba require a Toshiba MB and so on?

Laptops are proprietary.
Not just brand specific, the motherboard usually has to match the old one by model as well just to fit in the chassis.
