Hi

My computer freeze and I need to press power button to turn it off and reboot it again. This started to happen few days ago and this is the fourth time now. I am worry the computer will crash and will not reboot one day. I have back up disk so my data are safe.

The questions are:
1. Why computer will freeze? I think there must have many reasons for that but would like to know one or two.
2. Is there any way to prevent this to happen?
3. What do I need to do now to stop this problem?

Appreciated your advice.

What are you doing before computer freezes usually do you have a lot of programs installed and what was the last thing you did a few days ago when the problem started did you install anything new hardware or software this includes any new updates if so try loading from
A restore point before the problem started

There are many causes of computer freezes (http://ezinearticles.com/?Troubleshooting-Computer-Freeze-%28Lockup%29-Problems&id=39981).

To some extent you may be able to distinguish between software and hardware problems by seeing if the same thing happens in Safe Mode for Windows 7 (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-IE/windows7/Start-your-computer-in-safe-mode). What is your OS if not Win 7?

These days if you have been on the internet I would always, as a minimum, scan for Malware using something like MalwareBytes (http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/). Attempt this in Safe Mode if the freezes make it impossible in Normal Mode - having first downloaded the file onto a USB drive on another PC if necessary.

Other info about the specifics of your PC and its own specifications is always of value to know about.
