Hi,
I was just wondering how make the bootable back up cd
in my uni there's this lab where we have to reconfigure the server etc. and after we messed up the system, we just put the cd and it will install the good version of win2k

I notice that they are using norton ghost
I tried making one but it doesn't boot up when the computer is restarted

I have a bad habit of formating my hd whenever the hard disk space left about 1 gig and it's no fun waiting for the windows instalation to copy everything etc.

thanx in advance

Are you writing directly to the CDRW with Ghost? If so, take a look at Symantec (http://service4.symantec.com/SUPPORT/ghost.nsf/docid/2000110312324125?OpenDocument&src=hot&prod=Norton%20Ghost&ver=2001%20for%20Windows%2095/98/Me/NT/2000&stg=2&base=http://ww w.symantec.com/techsupp/ghost/&next=ghost2001_search_other.html&sone=ghost2001_tasks.html).

Um, in other words: go to symantec.com > service and support > home/ small business > Ghost and version > issue not listed here > continue...

when you create a backup to your burner, ghost will provide option to create a bootable disk. You have to have ghost.exe in your a drive, which you would use to boot into ghost via true DOS mode. Ghost will then copy bootable files from the floppy disk onto the burner PRIOR to initializing the burning process.....cheers,~pawprint~
