Hi All
I would like to reformat my Hdd and fresh reinstall win 98 se
My question is over the past 2 years I have downloaded all the windows updates and security patches, but which files do I need to save to CD-R/rw or 2 nd drive so that I will not have to re download these updates. any links or info would be gratefully appreciated

If you have not saved the actual patch install files, the easiest thing to do is to let Windows Update feature (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/) grab and install them for you.
After I have installed all the critical updates from Windows Update, I go to Cnet's update (http://updates.cnet.com/) and run the security fixes check. Between these 2 steps I feel I get them all back pretty quickly. You could run the CNet fixes first, as they always point to a downloadable file which you CAN keep for use when you reformat again in the future.

After the security and critical then I install the other IE/windows features I want. Finally a trip back thru Cnet's program updates section.
