Could someone suggest a good program that kills those annoying popup windows? That one for the mini video cam is getting on my nerves. (X-10, I think it is called)

Thank you!

Well I tried the Panicware and here is my opinion thus far.

I have tried it for a couple of days now, the download and install/setup was simple kindergarden stuff.

The program seems to prevent any additional browser windows from opening. You can click on the IE icon to open an initial browser, but if you want to open additional IE windows, you must hold the CTRL key while clicking the icon. This is also true if you are clicking a hyperlink on a website that opens a new window. It takes a little getting used to at first. Now, I haven't seen any of the X10 windows pop up since, but I have gotten one super annoying popup for online gaming. I dont know that one managed to get around the program but when I came home there it was, running on top of my screen saver. I have seen this gaming window in the past, when you close it, it pop up additional windows similar to what you experience on porn sites. (I'm sure some of you know what Im talking about)

So, up to this point, considering the nuisance of the CTRL key and the gaming windows ability of getting around the program, I'd give it a C+.

Thanks for the info.

Byang forget those programs, please. Go to start/ control panel/internet options/security tab/then go down to custom level
Then go to disable download signx active contols. Then scroll down the page in the custome level to Scripting
Disable active scripting and voila no more popups.
Make sure to cut it back on cause some sites will not work without it.
Also clear your temporary internet files out. That popup you got might be in your temporary internet files.

Well like I say I don't use these programs 1. I stay away from sites that are bad for popups)Quote["I'm sure some of you know what Im talking about"]
2.The few popups I get for some reason automatically minmize themselves so I really never see them.(I think it must have something to do with my on track system suite 4.0) I'm not sure. But that disabiling and enabiling sure sounds like a pain. Oh also I delete all cookies, except some msn and p.c. guide so I don't have to log in every time, also history and internet files. Don't you need active X for gaming? I don't know I don't do any, yet. Would clicking 'prompt on active X and scripting do the same thing???
Sorry if this rambles my brain does the same thing at times.

I downloaded a free program called popup killer. Its actually kind of cool. Every time a pop up window opens , you hear a shotgun blast and it goes away.. I like it alot..
