My Thinkpad T42's hard drive crashed and is gone. Loud clicking, doesn't boot, etc. Tried partitioning with a variety of tools, reinstalling XP, which kept giving errors that it can't copy files to the drive.
So I need a new hard drive for this thing, but it uses IDE and I prefer something at least 60GB, 5400RPM (though 7200RPM is really nice). Due to the flooding in Thailand, all the IDE drives available on newegg, Tigerdirect, ebay, etc. are ridiculously expensive. I was wondering if any of you in the US has a 2.5" IDE hard drive lying around... thanks!
