I have a laptop which is Win 7, running Zone Labs Security, and I have used it for 3 years (Toshiba). Have both a home netowrk (RoadRunner modem), and a Sprint card for traveling. Both have worked well. Recently, almost simultaneously, I got a virus (16N178A.com) which is apparently new, and I upgraded my Zone Labs to next level including datalock (not yet activated). Suddenly I cannot access the internet. My Sprint card signs on thru either Sprint mobile or my local network, but the laptop will not connect (sign sez "no internet access".....Have tried every setting I can think of, and nothing works. New version of Zone Labs killed/stopped the virus, but I cannot connect despite my "Sprint Smartview" easily connecting to the internet.

Check Internet Options>Connections>LAN settings for a proxy being set.
Run HijackThis and post a log in Security forum, the infection may not yet be completely cleaned.
