View Full Version : problems with nav
Hi All!
I've got a to part question.
(1) When I run nav it stops at least 3 times, saying unable to inoculate the file xxxxx. The files in question cannot be found on my system. I've done several searches for them any ideas.
(2) I'm using an old version of nav which I upgrade regularly, is it time to get the lastest product or am I safe the way things are.
Thanks,
kfh.

kfh which nav you running you might be better off getting 2001 seems it's so late in the year ya might wait for 2002?
Can't under stand why it won't find the files though you doing an auot scan or manual? It's never safe not to have the latest up-grade when it comes to Viruses or as some would say Virilli. If it can not find the files have you tried your self to find them? you may already have somthing eating your files? http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif stick around some one may know or have had this one before.

Hi Yoda,
I've done a file search the usual way, regedit search the files are definitly on my hard drive. Can't understand why I get the popup message. Can't find what version I have it doesn't show in the properties box. I did a live update again last night to no avail.
Thanks,
kfh.

i would try scanning the hard drive for the files, and if no luck, i think the program might be scanning the registry for files and then trying to scan for them, even though they don't exist. you might want to try checking the registry to see if there is an old key in there. BE CAREFUL when using regedit, if you delete the wrong thing, big problems can come up.
i've had other programs try to find missing files over and over again, and after searching and deleting them in regedit, the problem stopped.
