general OS question

hello guys, i have a question that confused in mind, was there a possibilities that the mac operating system can be install to any unit?

I think a Mac OS will only install on Mac systems. (someone correct me if I am wrong) Though I wouldn't be surprised if there is some way to hack it and make it work on a PC.

I do know you can run it in a virtual machine on a PC either in windows or Linux. Or at least the option is there, but I have never tried it.

The answer is that it depends on which Mac OS and which hardware but yes it can be done. Some just want the Mac to run and some like to have a dual-boot.

For $30 for the OS I may just buy it and do it for fun.
