I pay my ISP to be on line not to use there products I have Roadrunner I suppose I could have the stupid looking bird on my browser but choose not to don't even use there home page, for the money i pay I'll use any damn thing i like.As far as i know you could use any thing you like. tell aol to eat s@@#$% and die IMHO.When i bought my gate way they said i had a year of aol free. and that i had to use it well put the boots to that real quick took every thing to do with aol off MY puter ended all that nonsense. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

You can always log on, then minimize aol's browser and launch IE. I've done it before when I had Compuserve. Or...
You need to get all the IP addresses, DNS numbers, and input it manually into your TCP/IP properties under "network neighborhood." Next, you need to find out what your user ID and password is...encrypted I mean so that when you double click onto IE, you input your encrypted info in the dialogue box. You'd think that your ID and pw are just what they are, but what really happens is your info is encrypted through aol's browser program and sent through that way. I think MSN is the only ISP that your ID and pw are what they are. What I mean is, for example:
Under aol
user ID:johndoe could actually be "J9930zPfddRdklley"
pw:12345 could actually be "aDee38dKKjwolld0oO"
when deciphered on aol's end.
One way to find out is to use an echoing program running in the background while connecting to your ISP via 56k modem. I tried it with Juno and it worked well. I used a program called RASspy which I downloaded through
www.geocities.com/daveinfopage/ucfras1.zip (http://www.geocities.com/daveinfopage/ucfras1.zip)
Or go to this website where it has directions on how to get the program to echo the right way.
http://www.geocities.com/daveinfopage/palmpilot_freeISP.html
Its the section talking about "How to configure your Palm device for Juno.com"
Tell me if it works. Best of luck!

Hi diurnal,
I have CompuServe as an ISP and have their browser. I also have IE5.0, Netscape 6.0 and Opera.
You can use any one you want! You can use 2 or 3 at a time if you want. This is America. We can use any browser we want! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif
