I'm wanting to flash my BIOS to the newest version but keep getting error: unknown flash type. the board is a ECS K7VZA Rev 3.0. the MB manual shows a jumper JP5 to enable and disable write protection for the BIOS short pins 1&2 disable 2&3 enable and it shows a bank of 3 pins ... On the MB its self the the JP5 bank of pins is a bank of 5 pins with pin 2 missing . ... I can't short pins 1&2 because of the large space between them the shunt parks on pin 1 and doesn't even touch pin 2. I have tried all shunt placements with no luck.

Rond,
Curious, are you using a Windows utility to flash or attempting through DOS?
