I play quite a lot of Yahoo Bridge and believe that it would be quite useful to have a way of recording a game so that one could review it later and see how I could have bid or played better.
Of course this software could be used for all the games available and even link with offline games software so there must be quite a demand for it, although I have not managed to track it down. I guess that chess players would also welcome it.
Do you know of any software that will do this? http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif

What you could do is use the print screen button on your keyboard and the paste into a program such as Word

Take a look at a program called "snagit".

Thanks for the first 2 replies.
I had thought about printscreen but what i really wanted was a blow by blow recording of the game.
I am now going to locate a description of the abilities of *snagit* and report back . many thanks.

TRIED SNAGIT very pleased with their presentation and help.
Great for screen capture and Video capture of the internet game is perfect as far as output is concerned but much too greedy on disk space.. being 15 frames per sec. No blame to snagit but not suitable for my playing around.
BUT they have another allied product CAMTASIA RECORDER where the frame rate may be reduced. this program is out of my price range($160) for my general interest but I will try it to see if it does the job. will report in due course.

For the original bridge problem I can use snagit to record the *last hand analysis pane* and the bidding record pane. This can be manually input into a custom Bridge program for practice purposes. Not ideal, but useful.
SPIN-OFFS: There is an oppportunity for Yahoo or MS to market a dedicated program that will record their many games. This would aid enthusiastic gameplayers to explain what happened in interesting situations.
That is as far as I want to go on this project.MANY THANKS

I too wish that more games came with a record function. Sims are about the only game type that I know of that come with good broadcast-type replay.
