hello,
i just bought an internal cd-rw drive and figured i could install it myself no problems...PROBLEMS!!!

i installed the cd-rw and moved the cdrom drive to the "slave" position on the tape drive cable. after plugging all the cables and rebooting, i find that there's NO D drive, or E etc., so i can't configure it.

i hope someone can help me and understood this!

please email me responses as i don't check here often.

thanks all!

Did you set the jumpers for the CDRW as mater and the CD as slave?

IS the BIOS set to auto detect the drives?

Is the CDRW at the end of the cable and the CD on the middle connector?

Are the power cables firmly seated?
